Winter, of course, offers the choice of several ski fields all within 40 minutes to 2 hours drive or ice skating in Alexandra (20 minutes).

Take a day trip to Queenstown (50 minutes) and experience the gondola, luge, T.S.S Earnslaw steamship and stunning scenery.

Visit historic Arrowtown (30 minutes), check out the historic stone buildings and NZ's 3rd largest dam in Clyde (15 minutes). Alexandra (20 minutes) offers stone fruit, fine merino wool, a large hillside clock and many shops to browse through.

So much to do, so much to see - remember to bring your camera!
